SICC LIBRARY
GUIDES

SICC Library houses a comprehensive collection on the Indigenous peoples of the Americas, with a specific focus on local history, cultural resources, and language resources for Saskatchewan First Nations (Plains Cree, Swampy Cree, Woodland Cree, Dene, Saulteaux, Dakota, Nakoda and Lakota). In addition, the library provides teaching and curriculum resources for Saskatchewan First Nations’ languages and lends assistance and support to First Nations’ schools. Resources for all age levels are collected – early childhood education to post-secondary. The library also provides non-First Nations people with key information that promotes cross-cultural understanding, and fosters awareness about the uniqueness of First Nations.
