When the pandemic arrived on Turtle Island, Elders across these lands shared that it is language and culture that will get us through this time. SICC adapted many of its programs and moved online in order to continue to share our languages and cultures with a series called Language & Culture Connected. Over the course of the pandemic, SICC engaged in recording sessions with various knowledge holders to share information both about language and culture. These sessions can give children, youth, adults, parents and educators exposure to various teachings, many art related. For First Nations Storytelling Month, SICC opens these videos up to the public. You can watch these videos in any order, at any time of the day and as many times as you wish over the course of February 2023.
