The SICC Act was ratified by the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations (FSIN) Chiefs-in-Assembly on March 9, 2010. The SICC Act mandates that the SICC Elders Advisory Council (EAC) have a non-voting representative on the Board of Governors. The matter was tabled with the EAC on March 23, 2010. The EAC recommended that their Board of Governors representative be rotated among the Plains Cree, Swampy Cree, Woodland Cree, Dene, Nakawē, Dakota, Lakota and Nakota on a quarterly basis.
