SASKATCHEWAN INDIAN      SUMMER 2003      v34 n01 p14
On May 20, 2003 the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Licensing held their grand opening for their new head office which is housed on the Asimakaniseekan Askiy Indian Reserve in Saskatoon.

The new SIGL Head Office, located across the street from the FSIN formerly housed FSIN Treaty Governance and prior to that the Saskatoon Tribal Council.

Several months of renovation were required to make it suitable for SIGL needs. To assist in curbing renovation costs, many SIGL staff helped by moving furniture, demolition and light construction duties to build the new office.

SIGL President/CEO Terry Goodtrack, who commenced working with SIGL in November 2002, says that the new office will provide easy access to First Nations and provide the staff with modern technology and comfort. He says, "our SIGL Boardroom is very functional. It easily accommodates any type of presentation or training activity."

The SIGL Board Room is being rented out at a rate of $150 per day to organizations, groups or companies needing a place to conduct meetings, planning sessions or workshops. For more information call SIGL at (306) 477-5700.
