Hello my name is Tim Isnana and I'm a Dakota Sioux from the Standing Buffalo Reserve, which is located five kilometers west of Fort Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan. My Dakota name is Mypia Snaya Hdnajin; when translated as close as possible to English means Crackling Thunder Boy. I am currently attending the Saskatchewan Indian Federated College in Saskatoon. The Certificate in Indigenous Business Administration is a two- year program at SIFC which is an associated program that is held through the College of Commerce. I'm currently a second- year student in this program and I will be majoring in the field of International Marketing. During my first year at SIFC I took on the position of President of the Student Association. I have applied the experience I have gained from my schooling to this association and to my summer job. After completion of my certificate I will be continuing my education by finishing my degree in the College of Commerce. I had attended elementary at the Victoria school in Saskatoon then continued my education at Nutana Collegiate. While in high school I was involved in many recreational activities until I graduated in 1992.
