History

The Lac La Ronge Band consists of numerous smaller bands, the six that are populated are as follows: 1) Hall Lake; 2) Grandmother's Bay; 3) Sucker River; 4) Little Red River; 5) La Ronge; and 6) Stanley Mission.  The conglomerate of bands have a total population of 6,828 registered members, with an estimated 4,100 members residing on-reserve.  All separate bands are located in the vicinity of La Ronge.  The reserves combine to make a total of  43,302 hectares.
